Registration

  • Tour of East Westwood. Visit Cincinnati Urban Promise, Third Presbyterian, LaManarca SuperMercado, and the Hope Center. Participants will hear about ways that multiple ministries work together in conjunction with city and local government to create sustainable youth and community development that contributes to the economic growth of our neighborhood.
  • We will take a fifteen minute walk from the convention center, across the historic Roebling Suspension Bridge, and to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center for an unguided tour of this award winning museum dedicated to the heritage of the Underground Railroad specifically, and the broader struggle for freedom and racial justice. A meet and greet with the Implicit Bias Director and presentation will be available. Note: participants are responsible for their tickets to the museum cost $14 with your CCDA Badge
  • We will have lunch at "For the Life of the World Cafe" and hear the story of this pay as you can farm to table restaurant, visit Azalea Montessori, The Virginia Coffey Place (mural and natural playscape), Lydia's House for homeless women and children, and the Northwood Cider Co with short presentations at each. We will also discuss the role of Norwood Together in community development in the city. If time we will hear from a local developer who is giving back to his hometown.
