  • Does your heart break over the suffering you see daily on our streets? Have you found yourself wondering what can be done about a crisis so large that it seems insurmountable?

Join us for a glimpse into our radically hopeful work addressing both the root causes AND symptoms of houselessness, poverty, and isolation. You’ll experience the transformative power of a community of women, trans, and nonbinary people coming together to build authentic relationships that transcend life circumstances, and will leave with a deeper understanding of the parallel crises we see on our see streets.

Our space is located in a historically under-resourced part of SE Portland, and our 30 minute public transit journey will provide an opportunity to learn more about our city and where services are traditionally located. Lunch is not provided, though we’ll have refreshments available throughout the visit.
  • In October 2023, The Soul Restoration Center was featured in a CBS Morning News segment with NYT columnist and book author David Brooks about how we successfully help traumatized Black youth and community members feel seen, heard and valued. In a place the NYT identified as “America’s whitest urban city in America, JOY Is at the center of everything we do, as within Black joy is healing. And Black joy serves as an act of resistance, amidst tidal waves of racial oppression. Come feel the positive and refreshing energy for yourself! (Lunch Provided)
