How can we move ourselves and others to act when we witness injustice? Many people freeze in moments of injustice—not because they don’t care, but because they’ve never been prepared. In this highly interactive training, Andre Henry (frontline activist, strategist, and Program Manager at Christians for Social Action’s Racial Justice Institute) draws from his studies with living revolutionaries and years of movement experience to equip participants with practical tools for responding to oppression in real time.
Through role play, strategy exercises, and reflection, participants will learn how to regulate fear, assess their surroundings, and employ tactical forms of nonviolent interventions—from forming human chains to practicing civil resistance in the face of police or immigration enforcement. Come ready to move, feel, and think deeply about what it means to protect your community and disrupt injustice before it becomes normalized.
