  • Ministries: Hope Center & Mind Drive
    Focus: Youth, education, after school programming, entrepreneurship

    The Hope Center KC; Hope Leadership Academy; Hope Family Care Center; Adhoc Against Crime and Verge Solutions Hope Center: Communities can be transformed when people are a priority and organizations collaborate and connect. For over 21 years, The Hope Center KC has been a collaborative, consistent, compassionate neighbor who has utilized their resources and assets to lend to the pursuit of sustainability for its community. Come see, feel and touch the current and future plans of a reimagined community. This will be both an indoor and outdoor experience.

    MINDDRIVE is a project-based experiential learning program that serves students from around the Kansas City Metro. Mentoring is a key component of our after-school programs with a student-to-mentor ratio of 2:1. We teach problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration through math, science, technology, innovation and communication, giving our students deep-level experience with real world applications.

  • Ministries: Mission Adelante, Grandview Park Presbyterian Church, Advocates for Immigration Reform and Reconciliation, and YF (YOUTHFRONT) Neighborhood

    Focus on the work with our Latino communities, including, refugees, immigrants, youth programs, mentoring, entrepreneurship.

    KCK is famous for their many taquerias and diverse neighborhoods. Hear how these four ministries close in proximity engage their neighborhoods, work together in community development, have been rooted in their neighborhoods and have reimagined their outreach to meet the changing population and the changing times. Their impact is felt everywhere you go.

Saturday is your opportunity to visit some of the incredible neighborhoods and communities of this year’s host city—learning from local practitioners and experiencing the unique characteristics of Kansas City.

Both Go & Sees will depart from the hotel following the Saturday morning plenary at 11:30 am CST and return back to the hotel by 2 pm CST. Transportation and lunch provided.
